Good morning! It’s Thursday, September 18th
National Cheeseburger Day
Ain’t that just so cheesy….
I’m in a mood
And now, the news.
Pennsylvania Shooting
-via CNN
We start how we start here in America – with three officers killed and two in critical, but stable, condition after a shooting in rural Pennsylvania. The suspect was shot dead by police.
It started when police were on their way to arrest the suspect on charges of stalking and criminal trespassing. But it appears he was waiting for the officers and, upon their arrival, he began to shoot.
Details are sparse and will likely come tomorrow (or later, after I record this).
Jimmy Kimmel

"The MAGA Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it. This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he calls a friend. This is how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish."
Those were Jimmy Kimmel’s comments on Monday night in his opening monologue.
These are fairly calm, if not accurate, comments.
However, in a podcast on Wednesday the chair of the FCC called that, "the sickest conduct possible."
The sickest conduct possible?
The president of the United States is rounding up Venezuelans for the capital crime of being Venezuelan and sending them to a torture prison in El Salvador, the Ron DeSantis who is so factually had all his tests returned to him upside-down moronic that he thought he could build a theme park more popular than Disney World because he was in a fight with them built Alligator Alcatraz as migrant detention center and then the president said that they’d teach them how to run away from alligators while Laura Loomer, a fraction of a human being who is in the White House making firing decisions for Trump based on conspiracy theories tweeted "Alligator lives matter. The good news is, alligators are guaranteed at least 65 million meals if we get started now" and those 65 million meals refers to the 65 million Hispanic and Latino people living in America right now.
The only person Trump talks to that he doesn’t have a problem with is someone who says if he had it his way, there would only be 100 million Americans and they’d all look like him, and that means you can’t see your reflection in the mirror.
All over the country, ICE is scooping up people based on whether they believe they might be here illegally and often tossing them in jail before they get the chance. In Los Angeles, DC, now Memphis, and apparently eventually Chicago and really wherever else you may find yourself in a democratic city with a Black mayor, the administration is sending troops to literally do a hostile government takeover.
The president of the United States was found liable for sexual assault.
At his behest, a mob carried out an insurrection. Nine people died in connection, and the Confederate flag entered our nation’s Capitol building for the first time in history, in Donald Trump’s honor.
That did not even happen during the Civil War.
At the time of his death, Charlie Kirk was asked about gun deaths per year, and his response was a racist dogwhistle response asking, “Does that include gang violence?”
Charlie Kirk once said abortion was worse than the holocaust.
He said he didn’t believe Black women had the same brain processing power as white men. He said he would worry if he got into a plane and had Black pilots.
On Wednesday, the president said he would designate antifa, which is not a group and is literally just a word to describe being against fascism, as a terrorist organization, adding, "I will also be strongly recommending that those funding ANTIFA be thoroughly investigated in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices.”
And what does this have to do with Jimmy Kimmel?
On Wednesday, ABC announced that Jimmy Kimmel’s show had been pulled indefinitely based on his comments.
"The MAGA Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it. This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he calls a friend. This is how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish."
“The sickest conduct possible."
This is not how an adult grieves the murder of a friend and this is not how a democracy holds.
This sickest conduct possible.
At least there’s one thing to agree on I guess.
And that’s it. That’s the news.
I’m disgusted. I’m beyond disgusted. There is no minimizing how bad this is. He didn’t say anything wrong. He didn’t say anything mean. He didn’t even say anything incorrect.
The free speech party, ladies and gents.
