Good morning! It’s Wednesday, September 3rd
Skyscraper day.
Which then of course begs the question – what’s the tallest building in the world? What’s scrapin’ the sky the most?
That would be Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, which opened in 2010, and it 2,716’ 6” tall.
That’s… so tall. That’s more than 44 Kims.
That’s too many Kims!
And now, the news.
He’s Fine.

Starting with – just dispelling a rumor.
After a very odd weekend, Trump returned to the public eye on Tuesday with a press conference full of lies. So… normal.
But he was walking and talking and lying about fraud by voters, so like I said, he was looking normal.
People are going to pick apart exactly how he was walking and all of that – I’m not going to because again, we not going to do conspiracy theory.
That being said – I think it’s still worth noting that whatever happened this weekend was weird. And it’s weird that the mainstream news networks aren’t talking about it.
But anyway, he appeared on camera. Very odd situation but he’s back.
The press conference, by the way, was the announce that he’s moving the US Space Command headquarters from Colorado to Alabama because… well because Colorado is a blue state and he wants to punish blue states.
If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all, and all that. So just… he’s back.
Epstein Files
-via CNN
He’s probably wishing he’s back in hiding though because… the Epstein files are back in the news!
Weird tone for what they are, sorry about that. I regret it.
Anyway, on Tuesday the House Oversight Committee released about 33,000 pages worth of records related to the Epstein case.
And I’ve read them all!
No no… I’m a fast reader, but not that fast!
These files include flight logs, court filings, surveillance footage from the jail where he died, as well as redacted records, depositions, and memos.
Let it be known, that 33,000 is a big number. Famously, in fact.
However, Oversight Democrats found that 97% of what was made public was already public so…
Republican House Rep. Thomas Massie decided this wasn’t good enough (fair) and took a step to try to force a vote on a bipartisan measure to release what he says are all of the files. TBD on if it’ll pass. Remember that the Dems have also tried this and even though the Republicans are very #upset about this, they have voted it down every single time.
Still – get caught trying.
In addition to this file, six survivors of Epstein met with the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday as well. Very obviously, this happened behind closed doors. So I have no more info on this. Stop asking me!
Triangle of Friendship (But Bad)
-via NY Times
Okay, here’s another reason why it was super weird that we didn’t see Trump in front of the cameras, in a substantial way, all weekend (I’m not doing conspiracy theory! I’m just saying – it was weird)
On Monday, India’s Prime Minister Modi, China’s President Xi, and Russia’s President Putin hung out like besties. Modi and Putin held hands on their way to Xi. Then at another time Modi was holding hands with both of them.
All to show – hey, they are friends. And the United States, who couldn’t get a deal with Russia, is not a part of that friendship in a substantial way. Especially because of the tariffs.
Now, in a real way, other things were achieved – Xi and Putin signed a legally binding contract to build a pipline in the early 2030s, India and China declared that they are “partners not rivals” (big) while Modi said the relationship between India and Russia was “special and privileged.”
But the symbolism – those three nation’s leaders standing together with Trump, very much on the outside… don’t let that be ignored as well.
Los Angeles Court Ruling
On Tuesday, Trump added Baltimore to his list of cities he’s ready to invade. Saying, “We’re going in. But I didn’t say when.” Adding, “I have an obligation. This isn’t a political thing.”
Sure Jan.
Then why aren’t you in a Republican city? Or a city with a white mayor?
It’s both, by the way. Political and racial. Mr. 100 Million Americans is over there in the corner with his creepy little smile.
The timing of this is interesting, because also on Tuesday a federal judge in California ruled that the Trump administration did, in fact, break the law when they sent the military into the city. Hours after the ruling, the state asked to have the remaining 300 National Guard members removed.
Because, yeah – there are still 300 members here.
Why?
The law they broke was the one that prevents the military from doing domestic law enforcement. And since he wants to do this in every other Democratic city (oh, I’m sorry, it’s not political. It’s just a coincidence…), having precedent set here is good.
Obviously the official response from the White House was but I wanna! And this will continue its way on up the court ladder.
But we take our wins where we can get em!
And that’s it. That’s the news.
Honestly, once we tracked down the president, it was kind of smooth sailing.
I’m proud of skyscrapers. Boy oh boy are those suckers tall.
But more than skyscrapers, because you’re 2,716’ and SEVEN inches in my eyes (which, if you recall from the top of the show is one whole in taller than the world’s tallest building), but you never seem to have your head in the clouds… I’m proud of you.
